PLAYER OF THE YEAR
The Toledo Junior Golf Association awards both a boys and girls Player of the Year Award each season.
FRANK STRANAHAN AWARD: Awarded to the Boy Player of the Year
SHARON KEIL AWARD: Awarded to the Girl Player of the Year
These awards are the highest honor a player can receive in the TJGA.
The Board of Directors of the Toledo Junior Golf Association has adopted a point system to determine the top 25 invitees to the TJGA Invitational. A player may be eligible to win these awards based up the point system along with the criteria (but not limited to) listed on page 7 of this booklet.
The boys and girls Player of the Year will also receive 1 (one) exemption to an AJGA event the following season.
SPORTSMANSHIP AWARDS
The Toledo Junior Golf Association awards both a girls and boys Sportsmanship Award for each season. This award is voted upon by their peers.
KAREN STONE AWARD: Awarded to the Girl Sportswoman of the Year.
PAUL HAHN AWARD: Awarded to the Boy Sportsman of the Year.
PAUL SZYMANSKI SPIRIT AWARD
The Toledo Junior Golf Association has created the Paul Szymanski Spirit Award to honor the TJGA member who embodies Paul’s love of life as well as the game of golf yet may have dealt with an obstacle in their life.
